TEDxPotomac is an educational event licensed by TED.com. TED started more than 25 years ago as a conference bringing together
people from three worlds: Technology, Entertainment, and Design. Since
then, its scope has broadened to include thinkers, doers, creators, and
visionaries from all walks of life.
The May 20th TEDx event will build on that foundation. The theme is “Beyond Politics: Innovation, Inspiration, and Insight,” and the day will highlight diverse, thought-provoking presenters from the DC region who
energize, entertain, and enlighten.
Since the TEDx Potomac event on George Washington University's campus is sold out, the event organizers are offering the opportunity to host live simulcast parties on May 20th. The Maryland Institute for Technology in the Humanities, an applied think tank for the digital humanities at the University of Maryland, will simulcast the event in its conference room from 9am to 5pm. We welcome you to join us!
